Could my ongoing symptoms be being caused by an undetected lymphoma?

ok so im a 15 year old girl whos had some major problems the last few years and they havent been able to make a diagnosis...im naturally a dark olive skin tone and was a rather large hefty child my whole life until the last few years...about 3 years ago i became noticable ghostly pale and im still that way today...i didnt think anything of that until recently ...within the last year i developed abdominal pain, lower back pain, and chest pain. on top of ive had bloody noses ,a persistent cough,i burise like crazy and i dont even play sports or get hurt or anything..but its been within the last 6 months that ive felt the worst and thought something serious is wrong...i dont know why but i feel horribly sick all the time...im weak and come close to passing out on ocassion and i havent had a normal appetite in years...but its gotten to the point where i hardly eat at all and in the last 4 months ive dropped over 45lbs and im still losing weight...but tests have confirmed that its not a thyroid condition...plus theres been the worst continuous migranes and aches and pains all over...ive also discovered that ive had a rapid heart beat the last 3 times ive been in the E.R but idk y thats so either ...since my grandmother had leukemia we thought that was a likely possibility at first but the doctor said that my blood test didnt strike any alarm and dismissed that possibility...amongst the rest of all the problems i have been having drenching night sweats...im usually always cold but recently my body temperature has seemed to fluctuate suddenly ...ive had some fevers and nausea and numerous colds back to back but these symptoms havent gotten any better and they sure havent stopped and ill be 16 next month...i feel worse tho and the symptoms seem continuous.... the last time i was hospitalized for my bizarre aray of extreme pain and symptoms the idea of lymphoma came up and i did some research and that seemed to fit...i had enlarged lymphnodes in my neck and abdomen(shown by a CT scan) but the doctor at the hospital said id have to take that up with my normal physician...and he wasnt exactly confident it was a cancer so he also did a lyme disease test(that later turned out to be negative... however my normal doctor is aware of everything and doesnt even seem a tiny bit concerned about it....but this is the wild card...the same CT scan also revealed that i had 3 ovarian cysts...one that had ruptured and 2 very large ones that hadnt and blood in my uterus although i had my period a week ago before that...however this was no biggie tho because i had had one ruptured cyst before all these symptoms had arisen but that was years ago...it hurt like hell but after that one incident i was fine until the last 3 years....my gyn doctor saw me and gave me tylenol 3 to take when the sharp pain in my abdomen came and that was it...but me and my mom feel that theres more to it and i seem to be deteriorating from an unknown cause...so i was wondering someone elses opinion and what i should do? i have lots of signs of a possible lymphoma but how do i know if thats the case? is there any way that the ovarian problems could be something more severe...as in a cancer there ? and could they be the reason for all the other odd progressing symptoms?...but id love to hear any other possibilities of what else could it be?...so thanks to anyone who can help and atleast give me a sense of direction to go in....<3Chelsie

RE: Could my ongoing symptoms be being caused by an undetected lymphoma?

thanxx...i actually did make a long chart of all my symptoms and conditions that applied and i showed my mom it cuz shes been hesitant about believing its serious and lymphoma scored 20 out of the 20 symptoms i put down...but i saw my sisters doctor cuz mine wasnt in yesterday and we told him everything and he looked at me like i was crazy...but he looked back and noticed that i was still dropping weight and made me get on the scale and it was 4lbs lighter than the week before...he then asks my mom if i was bolemic or doing all this for attention...which made me feel realllly bad because im not...but i have a gyn appt this week because more female problems are occuring but we have to get my records and last CT scan from a different E.R sent down to my local hospital...so its a long process and i still feel like no one believes most of the time...it especially hurts when my own family doesnt...my wishy wash mom is kinda unreliable and decides not to take me to the doctors when we make appts so everything gets delayed even longer...sorry that it took so long and i wish the best for u...im not giving up but i could really use some help

ChelseaKeep on going .... could it be that your mother feels quite unable to cope with your unwellness? Are you able to take yourself off to the GP? Who refered you to the gynaecologist? Can that person send you to a specialist? Perhaps the gynae dr may refer you on?I wonder why you are not being listened to? Is paying the bill a problem? If you are not getting any help in pursuing all these problems is there a counsellor at school who could advise you? You are too young to be fighting this battle by yourself and you must keep trying to find out why you are losing weight and feeling so unwell. There must be someon in the community who can guide you through this maze of difficulties. You must keep on until you get some answers.

RE: Could my ongoing symptoms be being caused by an undetected lymphoma?

yeah i guess even thinking that something so serious could be wrong is pretty hard on her...and i cant drive by myself yet and i live with my mom and her parents who are very old and not so well off themselves...my sisters doctor i saw the other day was hte one who referred me to the gynecologyst and im going there later on so long as mom takes me...and i think that is a big part...my parents had a bad split up about 4 yrs ago and my father is now on drugs and unlocatable with a bunch of warrants out and so he hasnt paid child support since they split and no one can seem to find him to arrest him for anything hes done..so my mom and i live with her parents for now and we have state insurance or whatever and like no money...i went to childrens a while back cuz they were good when i was 4 and did my eye surgery but this time they asked for our insurance card while i was waiting to see the doctor and they didnt do anything in the 8 hours i was there...so im thinking that payment could be an issue...which is sad...ive talked to the counselor at school before and that was a huge waste of time...she thought it was all in my head and that i was a hyperchondriac..she said if there was something there theyd find it...but right now were getting home teaching and ive been home because in late december i had my tosils out and was rehospitalized 2 for dehydrating with an infection...and it was after that when the other pains and symptoms started getting worse and we started working on getting answers on that...but were not having any luck...u have to understand that i was a student in all honors classes, with the lead as a sophmore in our fall musical and im very involved in our chorus program....this is the worst thing for me..i wouldnt just leave everything i have going for me unless i felt that its not something to be concerned about...i wouldnt even have the energy to do most of those things now and i sleep most of the day or im up doing normal things and the pain gets to be such a hassle i have to lay down...but most of the time that doesnt really help....i hope today theyre able to find or do something...even the least bit would count

so i finally made some progress...sorta...the gyn gave me birth control to take for a month to see if the ovarian problems subside and she reviewed the CT and wants me to see an oncologyst for a bone marrow biopsy and lymphnode biopsy...and if the femal issues continue after this trial month then she will send me for a laparoscopy?...i think..i only pray that they find what evers wrong soon...but atleast im moving in the right direction and theyre actually going to do some tests...still i dont know how soon i'll be able to see the oncologyst...if they dont find anything after that then idk...
