  My dads is stage IV and his CEA is way down now to a 4.8 however the tumors aren't shrinking that much on his liver. Doctor said they are going to do 2 more chemos then put him on a maintenance program.  Is it ok that the tumors aren't shrinking that much as long as numbers stay down?

  So my fathers CEA was originally at 99.  He did 4 treatments of a very mild chemo because he has a heart stint and they wanted to operate on his liver.  The treatments did not work and his number shot up to 215 and spread throughout the liver.  So then there was no option to operate on the liver and they gave him "the good stuff" lol.  He had 2 treatments and his number is now a 32.  The doct...

  I'm 34 and my father is 68, he was just diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and has 4 spots on his liver.  He's finished 4 chemos and they did reimaging today and we will see doctor again on Tuesday to see whats next.
