I live in a different country  but here insurance through work disappears when you are no longer employed. Hope that is not the case with you. You need to think seriously about whether or not you will make it to retirement age. That's blunt, but true. More important you need a durable power of attorney for personal care and for financial/property. They do not have to be the same person(s). You need to think abou...

I feel wonderful. The man is a quack, and should have his liscence taken away. He steals from those without hope. Evil.

Sadly, my husband passed away Nov 6. He died of complications from the treatment of his tumor, not the tumor itself. The radiation damaged his brain, causing intractable seizures and increasing damage day by day. For the record it is not supposed to happen like this, and I fel a little cheated, if that"s the right word. We were not truly informed that this could be an outcome of the radiation. I withdrew a...

Thank you all for your support. We finally managed to get a drug cocktail that keeps him comfortable, although he still has moments of agitation. I am exhausted, and have little support in the way of family to spell me off. I won't leave him alone at the hospital. He continues to seizure despite all the medication. This an ugly f****** disease.

dexamethasone can be given subcutaneously - through a little device inserted into the subcut.aneous tissue and left in. Agittation is dreadful, and we are currently dealing with that in hospital. I am hoping that the palliative team sees him and we can use midazolam subcutaneouly and hydromorphone suncutaneously to control both. My situation is a little different in that my husband is dying from damage to his white ...

Now into week 4of hospitalization, over the weekend he seizured again continually and was intubated and ventilated for 24 hours so the seizures could be controlled. He is totally without speech now, and likely does not understand either although he focuses intently on my face and relaxes when I am there. We decided today to stop all treatment except for the anti seizure medications that are given by IV. No feeding a...

This is ridiculous. Until there have been double blind studies done in humans, with appropriate methodology and symptom grading there is no indication for doing this type of thing. The harm may outweigh the benefit in actual humans. Please be wary, don"t fast before treatment , you may case your blood sugar to drop, feel faint and nauseous. I don't see any double blind studies in this set of links.

OK guys Burzynski is full of you know what, please look up his name on the internet, and then connect it with  "scam". If you are on chemotherapy and radiation you SHOULD NOT be taking anything that is an antioxidant. AND the organic food industry is an industry, say no more. The best way to eat is fresh, cooked by yourself, avoid packaged foods, try to eat local produce and meats that are closer to the source, ...
