  Thanks Peter; My wife has metastatic liver cancer.  We just started a new chemo regiement since she did not respond to the previous cocktail (gemzar & cisplatin) and the cancer has spread to her peritoneum.  The new chemo is 5FU, Eloxatin, and Levcovorin.   Whipples; you are correct, I tried to name them from  memory.  We have had a second oppinion from Dana Farber and a phone call third opinion with John Hopkins. So far she is doing well with limited side effects, although she is only on her second round.

  Are you sure the dianosis is not stage IV liver cancer with a pancratic origin?  This is similar to my wife.  She was first thought to have pancreatic cancer that had matastisized to the liver.  When the liver was biopsied it showed gastrointestinal glandular cells, similar to the pancreas.  An Cat scan and biopsy of the pancreas showed no obvious signs of cancer.  They are now calling it Sta...

  Does anyone know of any of research done with Salvestrols and cancer other than the original discoveries?  It appears that there is plenty of anecdotal evidence that it works, yet no research has been conducted, any ideas as to why?  When I do an internet search it always comes back to the same place, Jerry Potter in 2003.  But nothing since then Thanks

  MJLSK; I'm sorry to hear this news.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.   We are waiting for a couple of months of chemo before we try the Salvestrol so we don't have too many variables at one time.

  Thank you very much.  Begs the question - If it's just a plant extract and a dietary supplement, why is it contolled?  No doubt some stupid law that was not inteded to control substances like this.
