  Well surgery did not go as planned. They tried laproscopic but bc my lymph nodes were "stuck" to my aorta they had to open me up to take it all at one time. It has been 4 days and I have been a basket case. The leading surgeon went on vacation right after my surgery so I am still waiting for him to come and talk to me.   Hi Mary, I am Brandi Travis from abilene texas. I was newly diagnosed last week and I have surgery next wed to remove left kidney. They think its in 3 lymph nodes so they are removing 5.   Everyone's feedback has been very uplifting. I know this is going to be along and hard journey. I go in next wed 23rd to have nephrectomey. I guess I am praying for a miracle that this is contained in the kidney but dr thinks otherwise. But we all gotta have our lil hope that we hang on to and right now this is my hope.   Hi I am 36 year old military wife who just graduated with my BSN. I was told yesterday by urologist that I have stage 3 kidney cancer. I have 5cm mass on left kidney mid to lower pole.
