  My story is very similar to your husband...please read my blog to see what I have explored with doctors.   Many individuals here are on SSDI and will be elligible for Medicare in 2 years.  There are tv ads for Part D and advantage plans and it can make your head spin. Does anyone have some helpful advice for determining best way to determine needs?   Any tips?

  RE Cancer Treatment Centers of America...unless you have "good insurance" or lots of cash, they won't treat you.  A friend called them and was turned down because of her insurance.  I know of others that experienced similar.   They never do pro bono cases.

  I think I had two people (maybe it was one person who offered twice) offer to bring over a dish to feed the children after 1st surgery.  No offers to shop for me, go with me to doc appointments, etc.   Exhole even had nerve to tell me I had to give him gas money if I wanted him to bring the kids to visit me in hospital.   An emergency room at a hospital must treat him regardless of insurance.  They may not be able to assume long term care but if he is in the ER and they order a scope at that time, he will get a scope.   Have you suggested that he apply for public aid?  There are programs in place to help those who are uninsured.  Next time he is in the ER ask to speak to the hospital's social worker who can help h...

  I can only suggest that you keep pestering the docs to continue looking for the cause of the pain.  Oftentimes they start with most likely (ailments they see most often) and move down the list until they start thinking beyond the standard abdominal pain.  I am sure they did blood labs and found nothing of concern.   Start tracking everything he eats, when he eats, when he has bowel movements, activity...
