Thank you everyone for your help and prayers.  This is for my ex husband.  His short term memory has been really bad for a couple of months now, also no use of his right arm and it is extremly weak, also notice his right leg is very weak and he stumble alot.  He also gets fustrated very easily and stutters alot more.  I have read up on the tumor location and all of these symptoms are normal. ...

I'm in the same boat.  Don't know of anyone who has or know's of anyone who has had experience with this clinical trial.  My ex husband just had surgery and had this virus injected into his head two weeks ago.  Keeping fingers crossed.  He is stage 3, 4th recurrence and chemo is no longer working so this clinical treatment was offered to him at City of Hope.  Please keep me updated on your jo...

My ex husband was on this concoction 2 months ago.  It showed very little benefit (tumor showed it shrunk a little after a month), then last MRI showed that it got bigger.  He is currently undergoing a clinical trial of TOCAGEN since no chemo is working anymore.  I've read a lot on brain cancer and treatments and stage III anaplastic astrocytoma vs. glioblastoma, and I learned that everyone&n...

My question is if anybody has ever experienced having to go through all different types of brain cancer chemo and last resort at strongest level to show that it was finally working and most recent MRI actually showed growth.  The doctors decided to quit all chemo since it was not working anymore, and his blood counts are extremely low to where he now has to recieve shots to up his count. City of Hope offered a ...

My husband just had his 1st injection and has been on the pills for a couple of weeks now.  Have you yourself or someone you know gone through this?  I'm curious of the outcome myself.  Hope all is well, and look forward to hearing back from you!

Hi Karyn, With his first tumor he did do radiation.  The second one just resection and back on temodar, 2 months later found another tumor occuring and that's when they decided to do the carboplatin.  I will check into the procarbazine.  Thank you, and well wishes for your husband. ~Melinda

Hi Sally, My husband and I have been separated for a year, so I am not there to question the doctors at City of Hope anymore.  I was wandering why just Carboplatin myself when I have seen no other scenarios where it is given alone and not in conjunction with another form of chemo or clinical trial.  My husband informed me that COH gave him the option of higher dose of temodar for a year, avastin, or carbop...
