You do not have to give up. This is the last thing to do. While is life is hope! I have one line of neoendocrine cancer called GLUCAGONOMA. I had probles for 13 years before I was diagnosted. I had surgery, in 1999. The pathology didn't said, it was cancer. I was living well and free, when it came back. I live in California, and didn't find any Doctor here that knew how to treat me. I went to a hospital in Houston, T...

I have lived 23 years since I had the first synthoms. The diagnost was just 10 years ago, after I had a surgery, to take a tumor from the tail of my pancreas, because of the rarety of this tumor. The cancer is called Glucagonoma one of the neoendocrine's slow growing tumors. I have been on different types of chemo. Always ready to try a new one. Good luck, Maria I. Graf

epaine, I would advise you ta take a blood test called GLUCAGON. I had one tumor that wouldn't grow on the tail of the pancreas. Neoendocrine also. Had a surgery, took it out. 5 years later cameback. No one could understand. But is one of the rarest cancer one could imagine: 1 person in 20 million world wide, a year is diagnosted with it. The name of it is GLUCAGONOMA. No one had hear that name before. Don't wa...

Hi, I had my spleen removed along with 40% of the my pancreas(tail). I had a tumor on size of a golf ball. The pathology said it was an Islet cell benign tumor. It was just few years later that I found out I have this rare type of neo-endocrine  cancer. Very slow growing, but very stubborn type. I have been real blessed find the best Doctors ever: One an Indocrinologist (in California) who diagnosted me, a...

Hi, I had my spleen removed, when I had a surgery to take 40% of my pancreas. I had a tumor size of a golf ball on the tail of my pancreas. The only thing I have to do for the spleenectomy is to take a Pneumovax shot, because your body loses the imunizations to fight infections. You might be vunerable for pneumonia. The pathology didn't accuse Cancer at the time, but it was. Only few years later I found out I have a...

Hi, My spleen was removed when I had  40% of the tail of my pancreas removed. I do not have to take antibiotics at all. The only thing I take is a Shot for pneumonia., called Pneomovax. I do not know why they will take the whole pancreas? Good luck, Maria I. Graf
