    Amen, It is a shame that it took EC to make you stop and smell the roses and enjoy everything. I feel the same way, I look at is as, "man I just beat cancer and you complaining about what?" Life is too short enjoy everyday Gods gives you to be with your family and loved ones. Fix relationships that are broke, call friends you have not spoke to in years. etc.

      i am about 4 months removed for my esohagectomy and I still have some pain, cramps as Doingfine stated. I ran out of Tylonel with Codiene tabs and have been just dealing with the bad cramps. I have a Dr. appointment in Feb and I have a Christmas list of issues to go over with my Dr. I wrote in an eariler post that most Dr.s don't want to you to get hooked on pain meds and will cut you off.         That is good to know. I am an Active Duty US Army E-8, 3 months post op from and esophgectomy and stomach resection and I am having problems eating, and soreness, pain too. I plan on retiring in about 24 months and am looking at my VA benefits.

            I had that done after i started vomiting 1 week after i was discharged after my surgery. I had gastric emptying study done and found that  only 47% of the food was emptying! it is much better now but i still have aspriation at night. I am in trail and error mode. I don't eat after 5pm, sleep sitting up, set my alarm to wake me up at 2am just to reposition myself. If I aspirate i sets me back a week to get over t...
