I used this website quite frequently when my husband was sick. I was his only caregiver for the 18 months that he had fought this battle. He's no longer with us, but I will continue help fight this battle along with every single one of you who is living with this. He went from the Folfirinox drug to just gemcitabine because he became immuned to f5 I'm here if anyone needs to talk.. I'm no expert but I've seen what ...

After a long courageous battle. I lost my husband on April 21, 2014. I keep telling myself he is in a better place and that one day it will get better. I just want to send a message to all caregivers and cancer warriors that I am praying for every single one of you. He may not have survived this ugly disease but a lot will. Keep the fight going!

I am trying my best to stay positive and leaving nothing unsaid. My husband has recently started eating again, He went from eating nothing nor drinking until it ended him up in the hospital, twice in one month. One for pain control and the other for dehydration. We see his Dr on Monday, so we will ask about the swelling. His legs arent too bad today but when they do, they're so puffy and when he eats, his belly is so...

I feel so utterly lost and overwhelmed. I am 36 with 4 kids and my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 in Oct 2012. Folfirinox stopped working and now only on the gemcitabine chemo since f5u stopped working. His cancer had spread and hes pretty close to the end stages. He's starting to swell. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? His tummy is so bloated and legs are twice its size. I have no idea what to exp...

Gosh, Do I ever know what you are going through. I am terribly sorry. My husband has stage 4 PC and WAS on the Folfirinox chemo up here in Canada. Anyway, it was working for about 16 rounds until another tumour had started growing and then after realizing that the cancer is spreading and he became immuned to the chemo, they started him on Gemcitabine and abraxane, hoping it's gonna give him a little more time. Well s...

My husband and I are going through the worst time in our short life together. Only months of us dating after being reunited 20 years later. He was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The stupid f******* tumour is wrapped around the hepatic artery and nothing was able to get surgically cut out. So he's been doing chemotherapy (folfirinox) and he just did his 19th round yesterday. It had contained it up until Oct...

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sorry for your loss. My fiancé has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and so far it's changed our lives. Back in Oct 2012 he was diagnosed and was given 3 to 6 months without treatment. Since then he's been on chemotherapy and it has been working until recently. He's on the folfirinox treatment. It stabilized his tumour at the head of the pancreas, they tried removing the tumour but it at...

Hi Tom, Sorry to hear about you going through this. My fiance was diagnosed with stage 4 inoperable PC last October. He's 38 and experienced everything you went through. It's tough and I've sat with him through his sessions and care for him. So far we don't know whats going on with his, Just that its still localized and shrunk. He had lots and still vomitting. The Dr gave him Emend and it worked wonders.
