Hi Jeff, Thanks for sharing your story. That's JUST AMAZING! I loved reading both of yours success with this treatment. It makes up hopeful even more after reading it. :) Definitely will keep you posted. <3
Well I haven't really updated much since joining this forum but I come on here often reading other peoples stories. My Fiance started on Folfirinox in November and his markers were at 877, so He just finished his 7th treatment on Monday and has one more to go before his CT Scan results. His markers are now at 69. We only found out today when he was got his pump disconnected. It's been a rough road with everything but...
My Heart goes out to you <3
I understand how frustrating it can be being with someone who refuses treatment. In the end, it's entirely up to HIM. Do what you can to get him to listen to you and how important it is to see what stage and where he's at with the cancer. It's such a rapid cancer that you never know how much time is left and before you know it, it'll be too late. I'm sorry that you're going through such a hard time with this. My Fian...
My Partner was diagnosed in October 2012 with Stage 4 PC. The tumour attached itself to the artery. The Drs attempted a whipple? Removing the head of the pancreas, that didn't end up happening. He is now doing Folfirinox treatments. He's going to be on Round 6 on Monday. The tumour markers were high 800's, then dropped to 600's.. then the tumour got bigger.. When he went for his CT Scan, the tumour significantly shru...
Hi there, I totally feel for you there. My fiance was diagnosed in Oct with stage 4 PC. He's now on his 7th round of folfirinox on Monday. The first week after chemo is toughest. I found that the nausea medication Amend works WONDERS. He has to take BEFORE he does chemo after his blood work. Once a day for 2 days after the first dose. Not so much nauseated after that. Be sure to ask about that medication tho. ...
There are so many things you need to know. My Fiance was diagnosed in Oct and now on Chemo (Folfirinox) Yesterday was his 3rd treatment. After the 4th they are going to send him for a CT Scan to see if the inoperable tumour shrunk. While we were at Cancer Care they had told us that there was a concern with his Sugar being so high, then ran some more test and turned out that's the reason why he has been feeling "crapp...
Hi Pete, I'm a caregiver for a PC fighter. My fiance was diagnosed in Oct with stage 4 inoperable tumour at the head of the pancreas. He is now on Folfirinox once every 2 weeks. It is depressing as we are living with this now for almost 3 months and it's a struggle for both of us. My advice is to NOT give up, keep fighting and stay positive. The moment you get depressed, call up someone or go do something. My ...
So far, my partner has lost 10lbs since last Monday, his 2nd folfirinox treatment. He has his ups and downs. Only side effects is the vomitting. They're going to do 2 more treatments then go for a MRI to see if there is any shrinkage, We are trying our best to stay positive. Which is very hard. We are both learning so much so quickly about this cancer. I read everyone's post and replies to our Posts. Thank you for sh...
