  Hi Malteseowner. Yes I'm scheduled for march 13 th for an endoscopic ampullectomy. I'm still waiting for the results on the biopsy they did a few weeks ago. I'm sorry about he infection you had as a result. Hope you are feeling better.

  Hello malteseowner. Im going through the exact same thing as you. I'm scheduled for the beginning of march to have my ampellectomy. What I would like to know from someone is what are the chances of recurrence for this procedure. I read that the recurrence rate for this is pretty high.   Well the good news for you is they aren't precancerous yet. Sounds like you should be relieved. I hope all is well from here on out. I went for my second opinion and they wanna repeat the endoscopy. So we will see what happens after that. I go Tuesday. Il Keep you posted. I understand your frustration but like I said at least its not precancerous yet. Chin up!!

  Well I just had a meeting with my GI to ask some questions and to see if this is serious. He told me this is nothing to worry about. It was only a small area which was precancerous. The lab results were a focal adenoma. He said we would just wait and do another test in a year. I'm still not sure if I should wait a year. I still haven't made an appt for a second opinion yet.   Gastro1 thank you so much foretelling me your story. It's helped me a lot to make a decision. I was back and forth with the second opinion.
