Tell everyone a little bit about yourself. Hi, I am OUDave. Ohio University Grad and Dave-LOLllll, I am in my later 40's (isn't that the new later 30's-lol). I love sports, great movies, the outdoors, just hanging out and laughing it up with good friends and sippin beer, wine, whatever you like, but my drinkin' days "is over". Bummed that I got head and neck cancer but it has been a journey of a lifetime led by the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus. I have more faults than I can count, I love to laugh, joke and tease/goof around bantering, this cancer stuff freaks me out and I began my journey as a "chicken little"-the sky is fallingggg. but I am getting better and it is an opportunity to learn, re-prioritize, grow closer to our Savior, and this is my chance to truly carry that cross. I do not believe that God gives cancer to anyone, but pain and suffering and fear gives us an opportunity to grow closer and more trusting in Christ. Like the Serenity prayer, we ultimately realize that Cancer initiallly is bigger than us, but once we learn to "grow that mustard seed" of faith, our Savior referred to, we know we can move mountains. I agree with much of what Max Lucado says in his books and would recommend them to anyone reading this, and I pray that our Lord will lift your pain and suffering and that he will wrap his arms around you on your worst nights and in your personal Gardens of Gasemity (spelling-terrrible). I am a mediator-attorney and thoroughly enjoy working with people and entities resolving their lawsuits and personal, business and private problems. I wish all of you well and keep you close in my prayers.
