  Mary I'm not a doctor, but to me a pulmonary collapse sounds like a collapse lung. Sometimes your lung can collapse from an illness, injury, or for no reason at all. When my son was 13 his lungs would collapse for no reason. He finally out grew it. My other son had an injury at work which caused a collapse lung. When I had my lung biopsy my lung collapsed.   Back in March I had a CT scan of my lower aorta. Lung nodules were found, and I was told I needed another scan in 3 months. The next scan was done June 28, This one showed another nodule, bigger than the other two. So now I had nodules in both lungs. A biopsy was done a few weeks ago followed by a PET scan. Thank god I'm fine. The past several months have been hell. I even cleaned out my closet because I didn't want ...

  Got the results of the biospy today. So far everything looks good. Doctor said to make sure I still need the PET scan on Friday. As long as nothing lights up she can follow me with CT Scans. I fill so good right now. I will never forget this experieance. I want to do something to help people with this horrible cancer. Rose

  you are in my prayers. i have a 1.4 cm nodule in my upper right lung. going for a biospy thursday and pet scan next week. i'm scared to death. like you my other passed away from lung cancer. that was in 82, so i'm hoping there are new things out there. best of luck. rose

  I am now schudeled for my PET and Biopsy. Pet is on 7/20 and bio is 7/12. I'm scared as hell. The 2 nodules in the left lower lung are 9 mm and 11 mm. They are stable since the last CT in March. The CT that was done a few weeks ago showed a 1.4 cm nodule on the right lung is is semisolid it shows some internal air bronchgrams, but has convex margins. The CT in March was not of the lungs so I do not know if the 1.4 c...

  I am so sorry for your lost. I lost my mother in 82 to lung cancer. To this day I still miss her. Celebrate the wonderful memories you had together. Hang on to those memories. I can now laugh when thinking about some of the things that we shared together. I know that is how my mother would want it. Rose

  Thank you Diana. My concern is 3 months ago I had a CT done for a blockage in my lower aorta. That is when they found a noduel. I was told to have another CT in 3 months which was yesterday. This time they saw more nodules and 1 in the other lung. That is why they are ordering the PET and biopsy.

  Back in March I had a CT done, not for my lung, but another probelm. A nodules was found, and I was told to have a CT in 3 months of my chust. That was done yesterday. The doctor called, said I should see a Pulmonary doctor. I saw that doctor today. There are nodules in both lungs. They are going to do a PET and a Biopsy. I am scare to death. Can someone please tell me what my chances are.
