I was diagnosed with carcinoid in an ovarian tumor 4 years ago, had surgery to remove it along with a total hysterectomy and since then it has been one thing after another. Now I am having pulmonary problems and since nothing seems to help the current problems, my physicians feel that the carcinoid "is back" and I am scheduled for a scan next week. I would love to hear from anyone who has or had this type of cancer. I have looked at the Carcinoid Foundation but no one ever replies on that website. Thanks and God Bless
I have carcinoid cancer. I was diagnosed two and a half years ago. It has been a ROLLER COASTER RIDE!!! I want to know if any has been diagnosed with this and NOT had the severe diarrhea and weight loss. I ask this because I have had the flushing, abdominal pain and some diarrhea but not as severe as most people seem to have. I recently began having the cardiovascular effects though - hypotension and problems with low heart rates. I am taking an unreal amount of medication to keep those things "going". I am also taking the LA Depot with daily injections too. Please share your stories with me(us) because there just is not enough info out there about this horrid disease. Thanks - Sharon H
