Hi Margo,
Just wondering how you are doing? Have you started the chemo? Which one are they giving you? How are you tolerating it? Sending hugs!

Hi els612,
So sorry that no one has responded to you yet! I've had GCT for about 12 years but still, no one of us is an expert. We can share our thoughts and experiences but in the end it would probably be best for you to ask for a consult with a Gynecological Oncologist. Hopefully you will find one in your area that is familiar with GCT. It is hopeful that an intact tumor would not have seeded itself and that y...

Margo, I feel so bad that I did not see your last post to me in late Oct!! For some reason my computer decided I did not need to receive these notifications anymore! So sorry!!
Wow!! It has been a busy time...trying to learn more about food and its effects on our body, as well as other positive things we can do for ourselves like exercise, massage, meditation, etc.

Yes, you got it. The gas can be a killer...not literally! And I thought when people complained about gas after laparoscopic surgery they were talking about the kind in their intestines. Wish everyone had my husband for a helper/advocate!! I work full time plus and he is on disability but works plenty, around the house and yard and fixing people's guitars. He makes me juices every day....using kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, lime or lemon, green apple, ginger, carrot, beets....whatever he can find and you know what? They are delicious!! I think it is the lime and ginger that ...

Wow, Janet!! You are truly a Trooper!! And to have survived all that chemo!! I have decided to try the natural/herbal route at this point and will be most anxious to see what the next Inhibin results will be in late Oct/early Nov. I will make sure to post the results - good or bad, as if this works I will be putting out for others, the recipes and concoctions I am taking now. At the mome...

Hi Cathy,
Your story does not sound very typical to me. Mostly I have heard that we develop pain or sudden pain and at surgery they discover either a ruptured or intact tumor. So my guess would be that none or very few had blood test tumor markers done before the first surgery. It certainly sounds like in your case it might be a good idea...along with a CA125 test. Good luck with your surgery and let us know th...
