Surgery went well and we are on our first treatment of Avastin. Surgery was done at UNiversity of California Irvine. The original chemo didn't work and the tumor came back about a month after radiation ended. He was having symptoms like in the beginning. Numbness, balance and just feeling lousy. They did an MRI and found that it had returned. Hope this helps!

Hi Lisa! I am felling your pain, literally! I am 43 and my husband was dx May of 2012. We have two teenagers, 17 and 14 yrs old. These last four months have felt like four years, with every emotion possible. I would love to connect with you. I live in the Southern California area. Unfortunately, we just had a recurrance and a second surgery a week and a half ago, so lots of emotions going on here.   Would lov...

Wow, I thought I was the only crazy caregiver out there. My husband was dx in May with GBM. He is 51 and I am 43 with  14 and 17 teenagers in the house. I feel like I have gone through every emotion possible, but each day it seems there is a new one. I am still trying to work, but that is getting harder and harder. At least now I feel better about starting projects/hobbies/new hobbies in the down time. Right now...

Dear Carmen's Wife! We don't know eachother, but like other's, my husband was dx in June of this year. I just wanted to say congrats and no judgement here, EVER! Your story is a special one and it does give hope for those that have lost the battle. It sounds very healthy and good for you both. Best of luck! Tami (wife of Bryan)

Hi Spudlady! It sounds like we are on about the same timeline. We found the GBM IV on 5/26/12, had surgery on 5/30/12, and started radiation and oral chemo on 6/25/12. We have completed 9 of 33 radiation treaments. So far, so good. We are taking it a day at a time and trying to keep a VERY positive attitude. We have two teenagers in the house, so we try and balance out their normal attitudes. Ha, ha! We are just try...

Thanks so much! The tumor was located in the front left lobe. What type of counselor did you get? We have two teenagers and I was thinking we could all use someone to talk to. How is your husband doing? Thanks for the hugs! Tami

Hi! Were you also tired from radiation and temodar early on? or is the 5/23 cycle make you more tired? I am just curious as what's to come. I am hanging in there and I'm glad you haven't been sick. My husband hasn't been sick either. Thanks! Tami
