Hi, was on Sutent for two years, Torisel for 9 months then Dovitinib for 3months. Re-challenges Sutent after reading PubMed article and after 12 months off it my disease stableised again with slight shrinkage. Switched to Pazopanib and after reading previous posts took 800mg at 5pm each day. Had a scan  5 months later and had greater than 50% shrinkage. Pretty good concidering they gave up on me after I failed...

Just to let people know I recently re challenged Sutent 12 months after it failed with success. The Doctors had given up on me but I found a PubMed study that suggested Sutent may work again after a period of time. They didn't say what that period of time was but I did 9 months on Torisel and 3 months on Dovitinib. I then went back onto Sutent and 9 months later my tumour growth and spread had stopped but no shrinka...

Hi, have been on Sutent, Torisel, Dovitinib, Sutent again and now Pazopanib (Votrient) and 2 years ago started getting spots on my liver. This was thought to be metastities however a recent liver biopsy has refuted this. They don't know what they are but I have hundreds of these cystes on my liver and all my liver functions (except Bilirubin) have continued to elevate. Any ideas???? PS: Sutent can be rechallenged a...

been on Votrient 3 weeks now with no side effects. Have read trial notes and they say to look out for liver failure in the first 3 weeks, some which have resulted in death. Symptoms are fatigue, dizzyness and chest rash.In most cases the dosage was reduced to 200mg and the liver corrected itself with a week then the patient went on to full dosage again. All the best Tim

My platelets were between 60 & 99 at their worst. My naturapath suggested Deep Sea shark Liver oil capsules. My platelets now are 135 to 150 at their very worst however are most of the time in spec, even at the end of my 4 weeks on. Also I have read about someone taking Votrient at night and it working then switching to morning and it not. This happened with me with Sutent. I read a PubMed article that sugges...

Hi IL is only effective with specific Kidney Cancers. This is a direct quote and the link is at the end: IL-2 has a CR 7% unless the presence of alveolar features, no papillary features, granular features < 50% and major renal vein involvement. Pts with all these features had a 41% RR (16/39).  Source: 2003 ASCO Annual Meeting  As far as the trial goes, that's why you have an early scan, normaly a...
