I am 49 years old and was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with mets to the liver in Jan.of 08. I have had a colon resection, 2 liver resections, cyberknife radiation and chemoembolization. I have had Folfox treatments and vectibix and irinotecan treatments.I currently have 2 tumors remaining in my liver. One was not able to be removed during the resection due to its location. The other came up between the first and second resections this past spring. I will have an MRI in mid Nov. to see if the cyberknife and chemoemboliztion worked on these 2 tumors. They will decide then if I will go back on regular chemo treatment. Have been off of it since June. It has been a long and bumpy road but I am hanging in there. I have the most amazing family and friends that have showered me with love and support.
