  Dear Bubble and Karegiver.....I am so sorry this is happening to both of you....I'm sure everything looks dark and cloudy all the time and you are emotionally stressed out and spent.  I am not sure if this is any good advice, but having been thru similiar situations, one thing that worked for me was to write a letter to the children of your Finace/husband (Sp?) and spell out how terribly sick he is and he needs ...

  Hi - I have had E.T. for four years now and try to take it as prescribed---500/1000 alternating each day.  Top read was 1 mil 4 years ago.  Must face knee surgery (replacement) very soon, but does anyone know how folks with ET do on a serious surgery.  My platelets are stable the last two years.  I am hesitant to get the surgery done, but Doctor said must have it.  I would appreciate any advi...

  I am so sorry to hear about your husband...the MERSA is really very serious and I'm sure that really effected him and his life.   Let us all pray the Doctors can find a drug to help us all.  Although, I suppose we are lucky to live pretty well most of the time.  Hugss back to you too.

  I think this is wonderful advice...as cancer patients are highly medicated and cannot process everything easily.  They need an advocate if one is possible.  I have had cancer myself for the last 3 1/2 years and still taking chemo, however, I found I did need someone else to talk to and found a wonderful counselor, who helped me a great deal.  Also, when I took care of my parents, aunts, etc. and worked...

  Well, I think you should make an apt without your husband and see the dr. alone and talk to him about your concerns,  I had to do this with my Aunt and write questions down as she was very upset...maybe too, he needs to have an anti-depressant.....and some counseling.  Men are very subborn and don't fave reality.  Perhaps the hospital or your doctor can find you a group to talk to or a non-paying couns...

  Hi Glenda....I was dianosised with ET 3 1/2 years ago....and am taking hydox and aspirin.  I feel fair, more fatigued than I use to and also don't have many people to discuss this with...it is not well known. Please drop me a note if you wish.  Mary

  Hi Thanks for replying so quick.  The other meds I am taking have been seen by the pharmacy and the Drs, and they discount a mix of drugs and say "anxiety" - however, I didn't have any nightmares before I started hydrox, and they go on and on.  I am 59 also, and do have fatigue now and I have to agree it does wreak havoc on your life and chang your daily activities.  Thanks so much for your insight and...

  Hi - I have had ET for about 3 1/2 years taking Hydrea everye day along with a couple of other meds...Does anyone knowing of the combination of Hydroxyurea and other meds causing nightmares...been having them every night for 3 yrs on meds.  Other than fatigue, I think my doctor said a good life expectpecy would be about an average life--I am 69 and OK for hte most part.  I believe most people get by pretty ...
