I thought your not supposed to stay on Temodar for that long?  Did you participate in any clinical trial at Duke?

Rosegamel, You seem more accessable to the reserach on this subject-In very early trials it seems the DC vaccine's are showing some promise-looks like it will take multiple treatments to perhaps make this a "manageable" disease-what are you're thoughs?

Hi Bill-out of curiosity, in what direction do you think we are heading in as far advancements in making GBMs a "manageable" disease.   It looks to me it will take multiple treatments-but do you think they are going in the right direction with Dendritic Cells (showing the most most promise in very early stage trials)?  If not, do you know of any other treatments that we may look into? Thanks...

thats an incredible story!!! nice to hear stories like this once in a while-so all you had was a couple of surgeries and RT (no chemo?)-did you follow any diet or take any supplimentation (all medical dr's tell you are to eat a balanced meal...).  I think the fact that you were young (and in good shape?) maybe has something to do with it? any other words of wisdom?

Thats very encouraging to hear!!!!!  Can you give a little background? What the original diagnosis a GBM?  What treatments have you had?  Anything you feel helped you out?

Hi Lorre-Thank you for the information you provided.  Do you guys use (or have you used) any immunotherapy or dendretic cell vaccines?  Any thoughts on the early stage success they have shown?  Most  people believe it will take a cocktail that will ultimately be the breakthrough-I''ve  been reading some interesting articles on nanotechnology that has shown it can pass through the BBB as well ...

I know everyone would react differently to alternative treatments but do you attribute your results more to diet or supplementation?  Can you give some examples of things that you believe worked well.  Also, did you run it by your Dr. before taking the supplements. Thanks

Thanks Huxley-I was told a similiar story by my Dr's.  I'm 42, in pretty good health, I had 2 surgeries (in 2005, path was inconclusive & again earlier this year), and both times in was in inconsequential part of the brain (so they were aggressive).  I am finishing up RT and Chemo and I guess well wait and see.  I apologize if you already mentioned this but when were you diagnosed?

Jason-I too have a AA3-it seems the majority of the immunotherapy/DC trials that have produced encouraging early stage results are for GBM.  I have had RT and chemo-do you know if I would still be a candidate?  When were you diagnosed with an AA3?  Any words of wisdom on how you got to where you are today?
