Last year I did Efudex treatment on my chest, and arms. After going through all the pain, itchiness, ect I have now been left with really bad pigmentation on all areas I used it on. Also it left me with white areas of skin on my chest. I am now using a fading cream to try and lessen the dark areas. If you have very deep damage just be carefull, I will never use this cream again. Hi Crocster, just read your post about your Efudex treatment. I have nearly finished my 4 weeks on my arms and the itching is unbearable. Did Phenergan help at night with the itching. I have been waking about every 2 hrs with extreme itching and vaseline only gives temporary relief. Wish we could get Aquaphor here in Australia but only in the US, is there anything else that helped you get throught this rough treatme...

I am on Efudix treatment on my chest and arms and I am half way through treatment. The itching is unbearable. I have read a lot of readers posts about using Aquaphor to relieve the itching, applying it after 2hrs of the Efudix. Unfortuneatly you can not get this product in Australia. Is there something similar I could use. I have also read that vaseline is close to aquahor?? Could some one please advise. Jo

Thanks so much for your time bushy, I used the cream for 4 days and the same happened to me and it was not good, swelling and redness, so decided that I am not going to put myself through the misery. I may decide to do it at a later date. I am still miserable from the Efudix treatment on my chest and arms and the pain and itching are unbearable so can't imagine myself doing it to my face. Thankyou again for your help...

Could you wife wear moiisturisers or makeup whilst using this cream.  I am on day 4 and already my face is tingling, burning and very itchy. Did she use anything to help with the  side effects. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Seems there is ot much information out there on this Gel. Have read a lot about Efudix and similar products but there is no discussions about Solaraze. Thanks for your time J...

Hi Bushy, did your wife have any other side affects whilst she was on the treatment other than the redness. I know with the efudix I came up in lots of red lumps and they were unbearably itchy. I am a sales rep so Dr said I wouldn't have to take any time off work with this alternative. There doesn't seem to be much info about this cream, I have read a lot about Carac and Efudix. All doctor said was there were miminal...

My doctor has prescribed Solaraze instead of Efudix for treatment on my face. He feels it will be less traumatic on my skin. Apparently it has less side effects but I must use it once a day for 3 months. Seems like a long time to get the same results as Efudix which I have just finished on my arms and chest with good results. Has anyone had experience with this cream. Can you use moisturiser on your face or cosmetics...

My doctor put me on Efudix for 3 weeks on the chest area. When I went to see him at this stage and  he said I needed more treatment so told me to continue for another 3 weeks or until the erosion stage.  This is where I am confused.....I am 5 weeks into treatment now and my chest looks like it has oversized measles all over, is red and lumpy but no real burning, but a little itchy, and no blisters or scabs....
