Thanks Jana - My husband is a fighter that's for sure and as you know it's so hard to make those decisions thinking that you are responsible for a loved ones life.  Dave wants to fight this and wants to do the Avastin he has trust in the NO. Your message was inspiring that your Husband is doing good I wish you nothing but the best in this fight.  I agree we never know what is around the corner.  Now w...

Hi Sarah Thanks for your note, I did ask how long if we did nothing and was told about a month.  They feel Dave is very strong and did so well by getting 24 months before this came back he might do pretty well on Avastin and possibly get another year he is also researching using Temodar again.  I called Duke and they will do a Peer to Peer Conference call as a second opinion.  Right now he is back on ...

Stay strong Jason my husband will turn 75 in March and is now at the 20 month mark, they only gave him 12 months.  Don't listen to the statts be positive ask many questions and reach out to others on this site with questions.  Dave had the 5 cm tumore removed, followed by radiation and Oral Temodar (Chemo).  The only drug he takes today is Keppra for seizures for which he never had one.  We are wo...

Christinia: Please keep us posted on your husband, we all care!  Try to stay positive and remember that just because Doctors tell you a time-frame doesn't mean it's so!  Always bring a note pad and write things down, ask questions.  It's always a good idea to get affairs in order just saying. Every person is different stay strong and do all you can to beat the odds! Diane
