Yes...!  Congrats I love hearing stories like this as we travel on our journey.  You two are truly blessed and I will continue to keep you on our prayer chain.  My husband is at the six month mark and every day I feel is a gift! Diane

Hello Dear Dan: My husband was dx with 5 cm GMB IV in May when we started Temodar the best advise I ever received on this site was to stay ahead of the nauseau.  So I started Dave the day b4 Chemo on Zofran and continued every day even on the 6th day he never NOT once had any bad effects.  Like you I don't like pumping drugs into him but I found that you have to stay ahead of this once it takes out it is v...

I wanted to tell you what happened with my husband who was dx with GBM IV back in April, surgery in May.  We did manage to reduce meds I can't believe but we did.  He is not taking any Oral Temodar Chemo since Januay, we reduced Keppra the anti seizure meds from 1,0000 mg a day to 500 (he never had a seizure though) and he took Dexadrone Steroid and reduced a little each time.  He does experience heada...

All good replies about headaches, thanks so much. As I said whatever works right???? Since a week now decreasing Keppra to 500 mg once a day and no Decadron (steroids) he is doing pretty good no headaches to complain about for NOW.  I took the advise to warm up a little heat pack we have that has lavendar and a bunch of sweet smelling spices and use that on and around the head, keeping his head high on two pill...

Yes I did check for apnea because a dear friend of ours has this, but not Dave's case.  This week so far has been so much better once we tweaked his meds.  This Keppra meds is a tough drug, he never once had a seizure but it was interesting to know from the Neurologist who said for me to watch him closely and if I find him standing looking out into space watch his fingers to see if he has the slightess shak...

Thanks for your suggestions with regards to my husband Dave's headaches. We did go see the Neurologist the other day and cut down the Keppra from 1,000 mg a day to 500 and changed the Celexa from taking it at night to a morning dose. For now this seems to be helping and his last 5 day dose of Chemo was yesterday, better mood, no headaches and he seems to have more energy.  I'm hoping this will last. Diane

Hi Judy: Please take good care of yourself, we never know what the Lord's plan is but I pray that they find answers for this disease soon. I just know that you are a loving wife, Mother and caregiver and at this time your family will find great comfort in your strength. God Bless Diane

Hi Josh: Dave's last MRI was on Jan 25th.  Headaches have been going on for some time now.  They reduced the Decadron from 6mg, 4, 2, 1 and 1/2 now nothing for past 3 weeks.  Even on the decadron he still has headaches.  We go back on the 27th and I wrote down all my questions.  It seems to me and the occupational therapist that even though the MRIs are clean we see a steady decline with spe...

Fabiano: I just wanted to tell you to ask the Doctor if they can prescribe Zofran for the nauseau if that is what your brother is complaining about.  My hubby is 73 & has stage IV Glibo, tumor removed in May and did the rounds of radiation and oral chemo Temodar.  Here is what I do to combat the upset stomach and it works.  The day before chemo I start this Zofran twice a day and even on the last ...
