      Good for you!  My husband is having a tough time walking and he is also pretty zapped and does the Avastin every two weeks.  Dave is also 75 years young.  We try to keep that positive attitude and work this this terrible disease.  I'm so impressed that you did the Grand Teton, we were big snow skiiers so I can appreciate your climb.  Never listen to those numbers the doctors tell you, here we...

        Hi I agree with what Bruce had to say my husband just made the 2 year mark with GBM IV but it came back can't do surgery since it is finger like projections but does take Oral Temodar and Avastin Infusion.  Please take Zofran or something of that nature to battle nauseau my Dave never gets sick, I also give him Colace every day he does have headaches more since the Avastin and a Raspy like voice other than that ...

          Sally: My husband takes Zofran for the Nausea and he has never gotten sick.  It's a pretty expensive drug but Medicare picked ours up for $14.00 Thanks for the info! Diane

            Has anyone taking Avastin and Temodar together have a raspy like voice?  My husband says it feels like it is coming from his chest area.  We went into today for his 2nd dose of 644 mg of Avastin mentioned it to the Oncologist and he gave him a drug called Fluconazole 100 mg tablet once a day treating it as if it is a yeast or a fungal infection, no sign of Thrush.  Just wondering if anyone else has exp...

              Yes I read this same article and it's certainly great news.  My husband just turned 75 and on March 3rd had a MRI that showed no new growth then things went south.  Within 6 weeks time it's back but finger like projections.  He is back on Oral Chemo Temodar and Avastin every two weeks along with Decadron .  I noticed about two weeks ago he was having problems seeing.  We have an appt at Duke ...

                Anyone out there do Avastin along with Temodar ?  and if so what was your experience with Side Effects if any.  My husband is 75 years old and this is the 2nd time the Cancer is back not really a tumor but finger like projections thru his brain. Thanks, Diane

                  By advise to you is do whatever you can for Mom take out travel insurance and pack the bags sooner rather than later. This past year before the Cancer came back his was GBM IV we took a cruise to South America, went to PA and visited with the kids, flew to Key West and have been out boating.  I know this is a hard subject but take the time to make sure you have all your necessary paperwork in order, Wills, Livi...

                      So great to hear yiou have had great results with Avastin we start on Monday because my husband wants to fight to the very end and try anything that might ake him better. I can't say NO - so let's pull up our Big Girl/Boys Panties and give that Damn Cancer a kick in the butt.! Diane
