Hello, I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in Oct.2006. I have been fighting this horrible cancer ever since. Well, the cancer has spread to my liver, the other breast and my brain. My spinal fluid showed cancer cells as well. I was put on a treatment plan of Depocyt for the spinal fluid. After the Depocyt injections I was to go through gamma knife treatment for the lesions on my brain. Then just up out of the blue my oncologist said that there was nothing more he could do for me. This was on 09/03/2009. He told me to go home and contact Hospice. I told him I wasn't ready for that to try to help me. He REFUSED!!!! This was at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX So,I am trying to get on a clinical trial at Duke University in North Carolina. I live in West Virginia. I'm still fighting. I won't go down easy!!!!! Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that Duke gave me an appt. to drive 5 hours down there to tell me that their clinical trial ended last week. Wasn't that nice of them? I'm now trying to get on a clinical trial at the Cleveland Clinic in OH. I hope to hear from them in a few days. I sure am needing some kind of treatment.
