I am so happy that you are responding to your treatments. I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago with adeno on the head of the pancreas had the whipple and than 6 months of chemo. I had the whipple at age 50 going on 3 years ago. It was a tough surgery and very important that you are at a hospital that does alot of these surgeries.
I was there for 6 days and released with staples out and no tubes. Had the NG tube overnight after surgery which was not fun.
The process of recovery is slow. Weakness and tiredness and little appetite is common after surgery.

I am sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she is doing better with the pain. I had my whipple going on 3 years this April. In the last week, I have been having some intermittent pain on the right back side ride on the rib cage area. I asked another nurse at work and she said it could be the pancreas or the liver.

Me with a new oncologist at Sloan for the first time. Ca19-9 (9) and blood work good. After she examined me and asked questions about my health, she said I do not need a scan or blood work again unitl August.
My last scan was last July and it will be 3 years since my whipple surgery for adenocarcinoma stage 2. I had clean noded and margins and did 6 months of adjuvant therapy afterwards.

Sorry to hear your latest setback. You are so strong and I know you will fight this. Remember to live each day as best as you can and tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. Don't let this beast win....kick some butt.

Have a wonderful trip visiting your family. Stay positive and keep your fighting spirit. Prayers help, so continue to do that also.
Make sure you spend quality time with your family and tell each and every one of them how much you love them.

So, so happy to hear of your good news! Yes, we have to give thanks to God, our family and great team of doctors.
I will be coming up on 3 years in April. I am here to see the marriage of my daughter and the birth of my first grandchild in Decebmer.
What type of PC did you have?
