thanks for your info

my onc dissuaded me from having this therapy because of the side effects & poor quality of life whilst receiving it; it would however seem logical that direct chemo to the abdomen would help more patients. fortunately, i was able to have hipec surgery at a later date which is the same idea but a one time shot

sorry, didnt answer as i didnt see the post! i live in belgium so i dont think u'll be coming here for treatment! they do hipec in many places in usa; the mets to the liver were around the liver so the tomotherapy is a radiotherapy machine that turns around the tumor

this excellent treatment was not in usa! it was offered to me by my wonderful onc thinking "out of the box"! i really love him!

Did u have it during your ovarian surgery? Did u still have to do chemo and what kind? How long since Dix ? What's your CA125 before and now? How r you doin? What r you doing to keep cancer from returning?

i was dxed in july 2006 with ovca 3c, debulking + 6x chemo, 3 years later i had mets to the liver treated with tomotherapy; in 2011 the ca 125 started rising:was told my only hope was hipec: had the op in may 2011 & have been fine since; it takes time to recoup but well worth it

hi! i had hipec in may 2011 for recurrent ovca after total debulking for peritoneal tumors: i hope this has saved my life! in any case, i didnt have to go thru any more chemo since then; it takes time to get back in shape (a least 3mos.) & 6 months to feel your old self. i certainly don't regret having done it. u're welcome to send me a private message if u want more details.
