  My endo is at Sloane, my surgeon was Mark Urken at Beth Isreal.  Please please call him.  He is astounding.  My first surgeon ( not Mark) for thyroidectomy had to sacrifice my vocal nerve, as the tumor went through it.  So, I've had several surguries and my voice sounds fine.  Mark is the best.

  a fine needle biopsy takes seonds in an ENT or OTO's office.   I have had several and I don't know why your doctors are waiting around.  It was painless.  What gives?

  you will find that the more you think you know with this disease, the less you can be certain of.  There are protocols but everybody is different.  I have had 2 RAI's with a total of 300 and neither of them did a damn thing but I was iodine resistant...which you don't know until you go through it. My aunt had a total dose of 420 and has been cancer free for 15 years.   Of course its your call..but you ...

  HI There,

     Myself and my mother-in-law have short term memory loss issues...I blame it on thyroid replacement (synthroid)  But we deal with is.  They keep me pretty suppressed..150 mc.  Had the same surguries as you!  Post it notes are my safety net.
