My Name is Jean, My sister was diagnosed with rectal melanoma in Nov. 2010. She had her rectum and muscles removed along with the tumor and now has a colostomy bag. She is just finishing her month of ivs and is due to start her subcutanious shots next week for the next 11 months. Her current medication is interfuron. Vickie was diagnosed stage 3. If anyone has info on this mysterious disease please send. I am always trying to learn more about this, We are focusing on a cure. We know this is a hard cancer to beat, but there has to be something more we can do. We just don't know what other treatments are available for this. We have a wonderful oncologist who doesn't give up and that's what we are working towards. Any help with info would so much be appreciated.
