  Sorry to be so ingnorant here, but what is an R0 and what therapy specifically is neoadjuvant?  Are you referring to the pre-Whipple proton therapy?

  Thank youcboots42.  Who was your surgeon at MGH and how did you find him/her?  Time is of the essence and we were lucky to get an appointment for a consult at DF on Friday (which they require before a biopsy).  I would like to schedule an appointment at MGH as well.

  My dad is in the middle of diagnosis and needs a biopsy possibly followed by Whipple procedure.  PET scan found a 1.2 cm mass "findings consistant with a malignant pancreatic neoplasm". He lives in Florida but has immediate family in Boston.  He is considering Dana Farber and MGH.  Any firsthand experience?  Where would you go?  John Hopkins is also a possibllity with relatives but no immedia...
