  I took Temodar 2 years ago, 5 days on 23 days off, then this past Dec. I had to start again because I didn't want to do radiation.  After taking the 21 day 7 off of Temodar for 3 months, my platelets also crashed.  Went down to 1 and was hospitalized constantly trying to get them up.  I was told I have ITP but they're not sure what caused it, either the Temodar of something else.  So now, I cannot...

  I started off with 20 mg of dex for few days, went to 12, now I'm on 8 for 30 days.  It is just awful.......... honestly it takes a toll on your emotions, your body, and your family.  Just be patient, I feel that I'm a little better since I've dropped down, but I was diagnosed with ITP during my round of chemo so I can't take the chemo anymore and am going to start rad in a few weeks.  My steroids are ...

  Thank you for the info.  I'm going to check out these things you told me about, you're right, dr.s are not telling me about anything else to do but radiation and are discouraging me from taking other things due to my ITP, I get so confused about what to do.  I feel like my only option is radiation and that scares me since I can only use it once.

  I know your platelets can go down while taking Temodar, but with a few days mine went all the way down to 2000 and I hade to get a couple platelet infustions and was given an IV of steroids and a drug called IVIG.  Has this ever happened to anyone?  After all the IV drugs  my platelets are only up  to 30,000 and it's been 4 days.  My hemotologist thinks I have something called ITP.  ...
