    Thanks for the information. Your problem seems much like mine as is the advice you have received.  I guess we have to be grateful for being survivors  and make the best of it.  I really think it is caused by scar tissue at the join or surface nerves in that area but corrective surgery would probably not be worth the risk.  Good luck to you and have a Happy New Year.

  Post Ivor Lewis surgery- took me three years plus for appetite to return but now only light eater due to partial stomach removal which is understandable. My problem remains with severe and prolonged coughing spasms when food passing through what I describe as the "join area".  Possibly scar tissue or surfaced nerves. Tried dilution which did not help. Endoscopy does not show any obvious problem.  Good ...

  Anybody have any experience or knowledge of "metastic sebaceous carcinoma"?  Have friend who had primary optical situation which was surgically removed 12 months ago.   My wife (R) aged 74 years diagnosed with MM June 2009. Kidney failure initial problem. Several chemo cycles unsuccessful with severe side effects .Had successful auto SCT in January 2011 when kappa light chain reached 3000 and abnormal protein 0.7 (done through 24 hour urine collection).
