I am a Triple Negative Breast Cancer survivor. Stage 2B, tumor was thought to be 1.5 centimeters but after surgery was actually 2.5. I was told that a lumpectomy and radiation would be sufficient and that having a mastectomy would not not increase or decrease the outcome. I personally feel that that is what the books inform the doctors and the doctors have to stay on somewhat of a book related path....

My oncologist for some reason does not feel the need to examine me when I go in for visits. She seems to use whatever reason she can. Like "Did I examine you last time" or "Have you seen any other doctors recently". I would like to know if I am wrong to think what does that matter. I should be examined every time.
