My husband started having seizures about a week after having a 2nd crainiotomy.  He was on 1000mg of Keppra a day (preventative) when they started.  He was combative and confused, but his sodium levels were a little low so they blamed it on that.  A few days ago, he started having tremors and staring off into space and it became obvious he was having seizures.  They upped the Keppra, but he still ...

My concern with Avastin is I've heard it either works really well or not at all and also other things tend not to work as well once you've tried Avastin.  It just feel like we should try something else first.

My husband just came home from the Hospital after surgey to have his tumor removed for the 2nd time. What different treatments have any of you used?  We want to know everything that is out there and how other people did to make the best choice.  I know Avastin w/ Temodar is the first thing recommended by doctors, but we are not sure this is the best option. Thanks- Kathleen

I totally get your feelings.  I am coming from the spouse side though.  My husband has a brain tumor.  He did really well for over a year and has recently had a recurrence and seems so miserable from the chemo.  I try to be supportive, but I get so scared sometimes about losing him and I feel like I close myself off from him. We have 5 children in their 20s and a 7 year old. I worry about the poss...

I don't have any statistics on ABT-888, but our Neuro Oncologist thinks it's the best treatment option at this time for my husband. She's very happy with the early results and is doing a Phase II trial at Fox Chase.  A Neuro Oncolgist my sister knows in Saly Lake City also recommended it and is now trying to start a Trial of his own. My husband is now on daily Temodar and Claravis (the same as Accutane).  ...

I feel a little ridiculous aking this, but does any one else have a spouse who moans and groans constantly? I feel so bad, he has GBM and does daily chemo and gets stomach cramps.  He says the groaning makes him feel better.  But does he have to do it all the time and so loudly? I don't even think he knows he does it anymore. I've asked him to please be quieter, but he just gets mad at me. From comments he ...

I hear good things about it.  We were signed up for the trial and our Insurance Company denied coverage.  We were very upset!

I can only find 6x Calc. Phos. on the Homeopathis site.  Is that ok?
