My name is Lisa, I have had a brain tumor since I was 15, I am now 21. The first tumor was Benign, a Level 1. I had gotten surgery but due to the location they couldn't remove all of it without completely paralyzing the left side of my body. I am Epileptic from the Tumor scaring my brain. Yr and a half later it grew back, so I had 28 treatments of Radiation (my full lifes dose) & that tumor was a Level 2. It was stable for 4 yrs then it grew back, as a level 4. I had surgery to remove as much as I could then follow up on Chemotherapy, but I got a bad Brain Infection from the surgery leaving me having to go without the chemo for several mths while I had 2 undergo 2 more surgeries, 1)Bone Flap Removal (to remove the infected bone) and 2) Put in a replacement piece on the hole in my head. 4 Mths later I was re-diagnosed with the Brain Tumor again but this time was was Malignant. I started Chemotherapy but had 2 keep stopping cause I was sick and had infections, a mth and a half later the tumor grew 4x the size and is now completely innoperable, leaving me just with Chemotherapy, but my Oncologist said they may try alittle bit of Radiation (aside from the fact I already had my MAX ammount) again if this doesnt work, then a more harsh chemo treatment.
