I wish i wasn't here... but my lovely 90yr grandmother was dignosed in march with bile duct cancer. At 90 in perfect health this is the last thing i thought would happen to such a great person... mid april grandma got a stent to drain the bile. After a short stay in the hospital grandma came home! a week after she started radiation for five weeks.
at this point it was all about getting grandma back to herself. she had to do some therpy to get walking again. now in June am happy to say she is back to walking getting in and out of bed by herself. no pain, itching. the only thing now is grandma lost around 30 pounds and has not got back her appetite. all she eats is soup broth and sometimes corn chips. very rarely she will try to eat other foods usally only a few bites. after completing the radiation with little side effects grandma will get another scan..Hope the tumor has kept its size and with a mircle it has shrunk or even disapeared. :)
