I have always been under the impression that if cancer cells enter the lymph nodes, then at some point secondary cancer will develope. The cancer I have involves some many facetts and aggressive ...

I nderstand the blood test is called T19 and a count is enabled to determin the number of "active" cancer cells. Lifestyle

Age 70 yrs now, diagnosed stomach cancer October 2010,no symptoms. Operation to remove stomach and cancer December 3 2010. I should be well on my way to recovery, except when my stomach and cancer were put under the microscope, it turns out the cancer has penetrated the stomach wall. is older than first thought and has many facets, some of which are aggressive and some cells have gone into 7 of the lymph nodes, and 42 removed during the operation. I feel reasonably well at the moment, but start aggressive chemo tomorrow for 18 weeks. I know this will be no walk in the park, but I am not ready to leave my wonderful family and husband yet, and what was a lovely life, so I will do whatever it takes to stay alive for however long it is possible. I thought I was fit untill blood tests came back wrong. then an endoscopy showed a growth in my stomach close to the gullet. How different the outcome might have been had I not made enquiries about the statins in the first place. How are we to know we have these cancers when we feel no symptoms?
