The most promising trial I have heard of is the dcvax immunotherapyerapy vaccine. It is run by Lina Liau as chief investigator at ucla but other hospitals are now using it. It is a phase three trial. There are 2 catches though: 1. They need fresh tissue at hospital performing trial to create vaccine. This means another surgery. For many people another surgery is not warranted at this time. Ok I spoke to MD Anderson and jacksonville and I would have to bankrupt my family to do proton therapy. Additionally 2 centers tell me it won't help. Anyone have experience with Gamma Knife which seems like a better option from what I've read. Can Gamma Knife treat every type of tumor or are there some it won't help? Thanks

I have a grade ii glioma. i was diagnosed in march 2012 and had crainiotomy which removed half of my tumor. the tumor is ingrained near some critical areas and I'm currently on wait and see approach. I am also taking seizure prevention medicine.
