  I have NSCLC, when mine was found it was almost as large as yours, so no you are not alone. I underwent radiation and chemotherapy which did shrink it over 50%, where surgery to remove shortly followed. I now have ct-scans every 6 mos, and I too go through the same hightened anxiety you are feeling, I think all of us do on this board, it's just some of us are either not honest about it, or not in touch with their fee...

  Hi, I have NSCLC as well, when it was found I was the same staging as yourself, mine was the right upper lobe of my lung. I had radiation targeting the chest area, which didn't include the trachea, but I did experience the same discomfort while trying to swallow food mid way through the radiation process.   Hi, sorry to hear about your friends discomfort, I can relate to what they are going through because I experienced the same thing when I was nearing the end of my radiation therapy, the Dr. perscribed a tablet that I had to crush up into yogurt and eat before eating my regular meals, it did help to coat the esophigus so I was able to swallow without the pain.   Hi, so sorry to hear about your sister's situation, I can certainly relate to what it's like to have cancer and no medical insurance. When I was first diagnosed back in 09, I was unemployed so I had no insurance, or any state benefits.
