I was told after 5 years, the last cancer is considered gone. How could it come back again ?

I will pray for your Mom. But, do not believe whatever others told you. Keep a positive mind, try to eat more, so she could gain the strength to go on this battle. When you thinl positively, positive things will happen.

When the first time doctor found out that my cancer spread to liver was not by C-scan. C-scan showing nothing abnormal, but my tumor marker kept going up. So doctor ordered Pet-scan, and found out 2 spots on my liver; then doctor ordered MRI to locat the tumor and to conifrm the size of the tumor on liver...MRI showing numerous hepatic metastases...
I am not sure if you have the same experience?

I have finished 6 rounds of theatment. Since the last test report showing all cancers resolved, tumor marker dropped to 27. Doctor gave me a long break without treatment(since Dec 29 my last treatment). But it will start from next Monday (Feb 11). I have been excercise through out the treatment. Ususally I walk 2 miles a day. Recently, I feel so strong and even started slow running and yoga...I streatc...

I am very excited to hear your sife's story.
I was DX to PC stage 2 Feb 2012 and had a successful whipple procedure in March 2012. Doctor told me I was "cancer free" after that surgery but needed to have 6 months "maintenance checo"to insure a longer and better life...during the 5th months chemo, test result showing my cancer spread into liver... my oncologist introduced me to Folfirinox. Since September 2012 ...

Please do not give up! You have to keep a positive thinking, positive thing will happen.
Yes I was stage 2, but it spread to liver. It is as bad as stage 4 now.
I also know a guy who was DX to PC stage 4. And he took the Folfrinox treatment, without surgery. When I met him again, he was thin, but strong. His tumor shrank half of the original size. If you check subject "folifrinox" at this Message Board,...

My oncologist suggested me to use Folfrinox , which is a 4 drugs cocktail, including 5-FU. It worked well on me. After 6 ...

Hi Iratxe, What is his stage? Did he do surgery?
As I said in my last message that I was stage II and was able to receive surgery- Whipple Procedure. I was told cancer free after the surey, but followed by a maintenance chemo threrapy - gemzar, once every week, 3 times a week and rest in the 4th week for 6 months to ensure a better and longer life. Thank you so much for your information, which is very encouraging.
I was very hesitated between the "natural way" or the chemotherapy. But after I noticed the fast growth of the tumor marker, I decided to go with Folfirinox , though it is a very hard treatment, but I believed and hoped it might have a more effective way to stop the spreading of the tumor. I could do the natural way and or herbal way after...
