  My dad became septic last week because of the stent becoming clogged and infected. Has anyone else had this? He is very weak right now and does not know if he wants to continue with chemo. He has been fighting this for over two years now and is exhausted both emotionally and physically. It is heartbreaking to watch him go through this.   What we did with my dad was to go to md Anderson in Houston for the treatment plan and then have it administered at home which is Milwaukee, Wi. We would go down to Houston every 3 months for scans and bloodwork and maybe new treatment plan depending on scans. Our dr at home also had a bruised ego. Ignore it. You are basically the driver now. You just need his signature to signoff on the orders every week. Just grab...

  I am writing this as I am sitting at my dad' s bedside in icu. I have cried so much and am so overwrought with grief. This has been the worst 21/2 yrs of my life. I don't think we can take another day. Please pray for his peace

  I am a little confused. Is one eligible for the ire if you have pc with liver mets? I saw an article where Watkins said no but another one said yes. Is this based an a case per case basis. My dad has been battling pc for about 2 1/2 yrs now. He has been on multiple chemo regimes, radiation and now a clinical trial.   Have you looked into Rational Therapeutics? This sounded very interesting to me. My dad is currently in a clinical trial in Phoenix at the SHC Hospital and Tgen. This trial consists of molecular profiling which is very similar to what they do at Rational Therapeutics.

  My dad was in Texas this past week to meet with his dr. at MD Anderson for his 3 month scans/bloodwork.  It came back that his ca19-9 had increrased because the spots in the liver were growing.  It is going on almost 2y ears since his diagnosis.  He started on gemcitabine and cysplatin then added xeloda, radiation, folfox, then folfirinox.  He had good responses to all of these things until he bec...
