Just went through the lumpectomy 3 weeks ago. Doctor has advised that I should have radiation as well as chemo. I am not convinced that is the proper treatment for me. I am right now researching alternative treatments and have an appointment for a 2nd opinion next week. I feel good and the doctor doesn't believe that the cancer has spread, although of course, can't be sure. My cancer is triple negative so recurrence rates are high. I feel like I am being herded like a sheep and frightened into the treatment that the doctor feels is proper for me. I am not that easily persuaded. I will decide for myself.
