  My husband 49 years old had his colon and retum removed 4 months ago, has started chemo, so far very lucky not to many or bad side effects. The dr. says 3 to 5 yrs, I am in shock and have low days and high days, My husband is up beat, and says he will continue to live as he always has. This is so scary!

  My husband has bowel movements alot, he has had his bag for 4 months now, it comes and goes as far as how much depending on what he eats.

  I know the thought of a colostomy sounds horrible, My husband has colon rectal cancer and now has an ileostomy, it takes some getting use to, but he has done real well, I pray you don't need one however think positive and know this isn't the worse thing that could happen to you, Good luck and many prayers your way!

  My husband was told he can eat what he can tolerate, it's trial and error. so far he has been able to eat most things, spicy food does bother him some, but if she eats fresh fruits and veggies make sure they are washed extremely well because of pesticides. Good luck!

  can anyone tell me anything about colon rectal cancer, which has spread to the liver? My husband has a permenent ileostemy, they removed the entire colon and rectum, he has always been strong and active and now I have to be strong! he is going to start chemo and radation, however he has an infect so they have post poned putting the port in, I have no clue what to think, is it curable? has anyone had this?
