    Thank you all for your thoughts and experience. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who feels these debilitating pains. I hope for a more definitive reason as to why this happens and what can be done to prevent it. It seems as though this is simply part of the "recovery" process and that it will take time for these episodes of pain to stop completely.       I am a two year survivor of pancreatic cancer. It was stage 3 when I had the whipple procedure done November 2, 2010. I had six months of chemo and thirty five rounds of radiation after the surgery. They removed the tumor and fourty four lymph nodes, of which 12 were cancerous.
