Normally if you have an infection it usually will increase the psa to the mid 20's. I found a site where you can calculate the probability of prostate cancer. However the program will only take a psa up to 50 which says a lot. At 50 it said the probability was well over 90%. here is the link so that you could use this to reverse his dumb doctor. http://www.prostatecancer-riskcalculator.com/assess-your-risk-of-prosta...

With all due respect your husband has an idiot for a doctor. Nothing can be gained by waiting. Go see another doctor and get a biopsy. By waiting all he is doing is watching the tumor grow and make treatment options less favorable. Dan

Heinz   A couple of observations and I am not a doctor so please don't over react. First of all with an initial psa of 2712.0 you cancer is quite advanced and most likely not cofined to the prostate which means  no matter what treatment you choose you are not out of the woods. Secondly with an after treatment PSA of 97.5 ng/ml you need to keep am eye on it and a second opinion may be needed. Did you have a...

Your husband is a candidate for watchful waiting. With surgery impotence and incontinence is a real possibility and at age 44 is a  very young age to deal with it. What your husband can be doing while watching is take an acitve role with supplements, diet and lifestyle changes to help insure his cancer goes no where. Prostate cancer is one of the most over treated cancers. Approximately over 80% will never be l...

Your partner couldn't be more misinformed. All the studies I have read say the opposite, especially with advanced prostate cancer. Personally when i started taking vitamin D my PSA went down 30%. Show me any studies that support that statement. In addition vitamin D is more of a hormone that a vitamin. It actually turms the switches on of the T cells of your immune system. If you are deficient in D you run the risk ...

kathy,   It is  a shame that what Ray and myself do is very anti cancer and anti aging. Why doesn't the medical community embrace this knowledge, especially when there is science backing us up? It is all about greed and ignorance. The greed that there is no money to be made from this plus it would cut down on the need for traditional therapies. The ignorance is that doc's are not educated in this field. A...
