  When you had the operations (hepec)  and they put the chemo directly into your abdomen.  What was your recovery time from the operation?  Did this seem to help you and do you think the operations were worth the results you got?  They are talking about sending me to St. Louis for what I think is this kind of treatment.  I wish I could find out more about this cancer and know what to expect.&nb...

  My appendix cancer was Mucinous Adenocarcinoma.  This cancer has spread into the lining of my stomach and stomach cavity.  I had surgery on May 30th and they took out 3 tumors but said that there were hundreds of little places of which they cannot get with surgers.  I first found my cancer in Aug. of 2010 and did chemo until March 2011.  CEA marker started going up and they did a pet scan that sho...

  Has anyone taken this med?  My doctor is thinking about putting me on this.  Stage 4 cancer.  Started in the appendix and now have hundreds of places in the lining of my stomach.

  Elissa, can you tell me about your cancer?  Did you ever have it come back? I also had appendix cancer---mine was moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma with mucinous component> I first had this in Aug of 2010 and will have surgery Wed.   In Aug of 2010 my appendix ruptured and I found that I had this cancer.  I finished chemo in March 2011 and in Dec of 2011 my CEA started to get higher and was 8.2 in April. Pet scan has showed something but they are not sure if it is the cancer coming back or what but I will have surgery on May 30th to see.  The doctor that is gonna do the surgery has said that with the scan and blood work showing somethin...

  I had six months of folfox and you cannot eat or drink anything cold for several days after the chemo treatment.  I would have a few days that I could eat or drink cold things between treatments.  I had treatments every two weeks.
