Hi Springflowers, I was wondering how long it took before you saw a change in your markers and a decrease in the size of your tumors.  I have been on the alternative treatment for about 7 weeks and I got a new CT Scan just this past Monday.  The doctor called me and let me know that the pregression of my disease was worsening in my right lung and was unchanged in my left lung.  I must admit that I was...

Hi Chris, I recently completed 10 treatments of radation to my spine due to pain from the mets.  I was on the Gemzar for about 4 months however it was not consistantly due to the fact that my WBC was often low and this fact prevented me from getting the treatment as precribed.  I was given anti-nausea meds but I found that I was not as sick with this medication.  Hope this information helps you and go...

Hi Grace, I am working with specialist in all areas.  I had neulasta as well however the chemo I was on was not effective for my cancer.  My quality of life was being effectived by the chemo and it was not changing the progression of my disease so I am now really depending on the alternative care to make a difference.  I have not shut the door on other treatments as I am seeing a specialist and am wil...

Hello Chrisja, I was intially on Gemzar when I had my reoccurance with cancer.  This chemo made me very tired but not much nausea however it killed my immune system and left me with dangerously low WBC.  This led to me having to stop the medication because it was damaging my immune system so bad.  I wish you much luck on your journey.

Hi mdweisse, I actually only went through 3 cycles of the xeloda.  I was on for 14 days and off for 7.  I felt pretty good while on it however my cancer progressed to my bones during this treatment so it did not work for me and I am no longer on this medication.  I hope your sister has better luck than me.  I however encourage you to look at alternative treatments.  Good luck!
