He had a piece of lung removed in March of 2012, than had another 12 rounds of chemo, NED for 7 months now and we are praying for many more!!  Good luck!

I know that my husband is KRAS positive. I am wandering if it has anything to do with pikc3ma. Our oncologist is experienced and, like I said earlier is always consulting with other oncologists from different big cancer centers, he forwards me all the responces he gets, so I can read it myself. However, thank you for this info, I will definatelly ask our doctor what he thinks about this maintanence therapy.

My husband is on aspirin. In terms of maintanance, our doctor was talking about it, also he always consult with other oncologists, he is the kind of doctor who doesn't think that he knows everything at all, and we respect him for that. He said that for colon cancer there is no proven maintanance exists.......what you are saying is on option, but there is no sientific prove that it works, again, for this particular ca...

Of cource it was biopsed, they aways do biopsy after each surgery. And the respond to chemo was not comleate, that is why they continued chemo post-surgical. The doctor said that my husband case is unusual and they have no knowledge if more chemo wounld help, but if it would, it'll give him another 30% chance of being cured in addition to 25% he already has. Thus, he had 2 rounds of chemo 6 months each. Now, accordin...

My husband was lucky enough not to loose much weight. He was always a little overweight though, so it was even a good thing for him to loose a few pounds. He did have some diarrhea, but only for a couple of days, usually on days 9 through 12 post chemo, so it was preatty tolerable. He did have severe weakness and nausea almost all the time, but he is a very strong guy, so he was even able to work for a few ...

My husband was diagnosed with colorectal cancer stage 4 with 2 spots on his liver and 1 spot on his lung in January 2011, his CEA level was 69. He was 48 years old than. On the first appoitment with our ancologist, we were told that it was non-currable and the everege, he has about 2 years to live with chemo. Dr. said that surgery was not on option at this point. Both of us were devastat...
