  I feel very positive for your daughter and her prognosis. I don't know why but for some reason I have a real good feeling that your daughter will do well and the outcome will be positive. I wish I could offer better news about my daughter. She lost her fight on august 9th; her cancer was very advanced at at diagnosis. I will continue to keep your daughter and you in my prayers.

  Hi. I am the mother of a 24 year old young woman who was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. She was in her third year of college.   My daughter started out with the same regimen. She was stage IV though and we learned that this wasn't effective for her. They switched her to folfiri and cisplatin. She responded well to that for a while. But she had a lot of complications from the beginning. I have much to tell about her story and am building it little by little. I started a blog.   DCA is a natural substance. I would ask your Mom's doctor if he could prescribe it for her. Look on the Internet and you will see a lot about this. Be careful though; you can buy it online but you really want the doctor's input. It is not chemo. Unfortunately there have not been many clinical trials with this.   CTCA is Cancer Treatment Centers of America. I don't believe that are global. You mentioned that she has tried alternative treatments. We were going to try DCA (dichloroacetate).
