    I got all worried about some rises in my lite chains and then researched and found that as long as they rise and the ratio is the same another health issue is the cause....then the next test they were down then up again and then down........kappa 28 was the highest now down to 22....my onc told me that if it got over 100 then he would do a BMB and not to worry that I was fine.....It's hard not to worry when the numbe...

      Hi cmolinaro true fiction is correct.....your lite chains can rise for various reasons.....as long as the ratio rises the same it can be other health issues how is your m-spike? have you had any other tests..... going on 3 yrs in CR! good for you Terry

        she was a very charming, funny, witty and courageous woman.....I followed her on FB and she had an amazing support group of family and friends.......I never heard her complain about her declining,  always upbeat and positive...a true warrior in the battle she will be missed... Terry

            Hello....good for you that you are two years out from your SCT and shame on your onc for quoting you percentages.....I learned this one from a brain cancer survivor not long after I was dx.....don't pay attention to percentages as they are for groups of people and you are an individual........If you do have a relapse there are lots more ammunition available today than there was back when some of the percentages you r...

              Hello.....I'm afraid at his age they would not but depending on his overall health there are other treatment options available.  I think the SCT cutoff is around 70 with overall good health.... Terry

                    sorry to hear about that....good for you for supporting your wife....what do the dr.s say?  why has she decided to stop treatment after only 3 mo?  do they offer the opportunity for another sct?  other drug therapy....etc......my first regimen of rev/dex was 4 months before achieving any results and then the month later I was in CR.....was it just rev alone?.....where do you go for treatment?  hav...

                      There are many great cancer treatment centers all over the country.....there is also many different approaches depending on where you go.....do your research.... I live in Alaska and go to SCCA (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance) which is Fred Hutchinson/Seatte Childrens Hospital/UW Medicine  located in Seattle......I am very pleased with the specialists there.... good luck in your research Terry

                      I just turned 50 in April, diagnosed with MM in May 09, two cycles of radiation and currently on 25 mg of Rev/ 40 mg of Dex. Have a consult with Dr on 7/1 at Fred Hutchinson Research in Seattle Wa about stem cell transplant. I just found this site and have read some great posts....I live in Alaska and spent the weekend fishing on my boat, we caught king salmon, halibut and spot prawns.....life is GOOD!
