I could sing when I couldn't talk, so I recommend having him "sing" his frustration to you - in a sing-son voice.  Hope it helps and I'm praying for both of you!

Can he sing?  Singing is in a different part of the brain, so I think you will have some success with that.  I had aphasia (expressive) and I wasn't able to speak for about six months after my surgery but I could sing.  Try it and see how he responds!  Good luck!

Hello!   I was diagnosed with Oligodendroglioma after my surgery which was February 4, 2009.  I'm happy to report that I am doing well.  Tough times after the surgery:  I couldn't move my right side, loss of my independence for a time, rehab, loss of my license for a time, loss of a job, but honestly, I feel great and besides my head cracking once in a while I'm doing fine!!  I tell you thi...

Hi! As a oligodendroglioma II, post-surgery, I wouldn't recommend radiation.  My oncologist recommended watching and waiting.  I know you have deletions but I recommend the temador.  You could experience aphasia (which I had/still have somewhat) if you go the radiation route - it's terrible!  To know mentally what you want to say but are unable to get the words out - very frustrating in...

Hello! I had surgery for oligodendroglioma on the left side over four years ago.  It was unfortunate that I wasn't able to speak for about six months.  But that being said, I am able to speak now although I do still have aphasia (maybe you won't have that) when I'm tired at night.  I kind of have to speak around something to arrive at the conclusion but that's a pretty sm...

Hello, I have AB negative blood type and it's 3% of the world's blood type. I also have oligodendraglioma.  I'm just wondering if it could be as simple the type of blood that we have? Sincerely, Val
