National Cancer Survivors Day®

by: cancercompass

Celebrating its 23rd anniversary this year, National Cancer Survivors Day® is happening this Sunday, June 6th.

"National Cancer Survivors Day® is an annual, worldwide Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities throughout the United States, Canada, and other participating countries. Participants unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful and productive," according to the National Cancer Survivors Day® website.

The organization's definition of 'cancer survivor' is "anyone living with a history of cancer - from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life."

For anyone interested in participating, you can ask for a list of pre-registered events in your region, or create your own.
